Cooking Vacations in Catalonia, Spain.

SPAIN tASTE

An english-speaking guide will meet you in the afternoon at the airport, or train station and will take you to your hotel near Palamos.
You will be able to talk about the tour with your escort-guide at the Hotel, before going for dinner in a traditional cuisine restaurant near the Hotel.

DAY 1

After a full breakfast at the hotel we will visit the market of Pals, and the rest of this beautiful little city, soon to be named a "Slow-Town", for its beauty and peacefulness. Lunch will be in a famous traditional restaurant of the area.

DAY 3

Then we will head on to the beautiful city of Girona, to visit its Cathedral where you will see the important Tapestry Of Creation (XIIth Century). We will show you the Old Quarter and leave you free to enjoy the city on your own until dinner time. Creative Catalan Cuisine with a fantastic selection of spanish wines.

On day 3, after breakfast, we will visit the typical market of Begur, near the coast. Lunch will be in a seafood specialised restaurant in a magnificent bay. After lunch we will have a short walk around the bay.

In the afternoon you will have your first cooking lesson of traditional Catalan recepies in a friendly and familiar atmosphere. Dinner will follow of what cooked with local Catalan wines.

DAY 4

DAY 2

On day 4, after breakfast, we will visit a small cheese manufactory, and then our friend the chocolate Chef. He will show us his tiny chocolate factory and delight us with a few chocolate bombons. Lunch will be in a traditional cuisine restaurant with local recepies keeping it high on tradition.

In the afternoon we will visit a small port and if we are lucky the fishermen with a good capture, and then the fish market. Our second cooking class will follow of catalan and spanish "tapas" (snacks) recepies.

DAY 5

On day 5, after breakfast, we will visit an Iberian settlement so you can understand the influence the greeks had in Iberia, for exemple you will be explained how they tought them how to make wine. And not to change the subject, we will visit a winegrower and have a complete wine tasting of his different wines.
Lunch will be on your own today, in preparation for a unique dinner.

Your afternoon will be free to relax by the hotel and go fo a nice walk around the village.
Your dinner will be a complete menu by one of the best Chefs of the region, with spanish wines.

DAY 6

After breakfast, transfer to your airport, hotel or train station hoping that you have spent some special days with us here in the beautiful Catalonia.
